Condition Report: Lined canvas. Faint stretcher bar marks at edges. Slight yellowing to the varnish layer, otherwise there appear to be no major condition issues affecting the work. Not examined out of frame.
Under UV: scattered application of varnish fluoresces green unevenly. Brushy retouching to aforementioned frame abrasion at edges. Apparent strengthening to the body of the black dog. Apparent extensive brushy retouching to the foreground in the lower half of the work.
