John F. Kennedy Dallas Visit Badges

Pair of rare original cardstock ‘Texas Welcome Committee’ badges, 3.5 x 2.25, both reading "President Kennedy’s Visit to Dallas, November 22, 1963," with one marked "Airport Reception" in red lettering and "No. 995" on the reverse, and the other marked "Committee" in green lettering and "No. 730" on the reverse. Both are in their original plastic pinback holders. In fine condition, with light creasing and wear. These "Committee" badges were given to members of the ‘Texas Welcome Committee’ who were to greet Kennedy upon his arrival at the Dallas Trade Mart, while the "Airport Reception" badges allowed holders onto the tarmac at Love Field to greet the presidential party as they came off of Air Force One.
