Monogrammed "JF.K." l.l., identified on an exhibition label from the William A. Farnsworth Library and Art Museum, Rockland, Maine (see below), affixed to the frame backing.
Oil on canvas, 16 x 25 in. (41.0 x 63.7 cm), framed.
Condition: Lined, new stretcher, retouch to the upper corners and along old stretcher bar marks, three small spots, possible old repairs to sky c.r., fine craquelure, minor surface grime.

Provenance: Victor D. Spark, New York art dealer, in 1945; through to the collection of Lewis Iselin Jr., Maine; to his daughter Edith Iselin Byron; to the current owner by family descent.
