Fantastic collection of 27 original vintage glossy NASA photos chronicling John Glenn's Mercury Atlas-6 mission, 8 x 10 and 10 x 8, most with black NASA captions on the reverse, dated from February 9â€â€œ21, 1962. Images include Glenn in his Mercury flight suit with the Friendship 7 capsule; pre-launch activities including medical checks, suit-up procedures, a pre-flight meal, studying maps with Deke Slayton, and a telephone call; the MA-6 liftoff; and recovery by the USS Noa. In overall fine condition.
