Signed "Enneking" l.r., titled and inscribed on the stretcher.
Oil on canvas, 25 x 30 in. (63.5 x 76.5 cm), in a Charles Prendergast frame.
Condition: Lined, very minor area of retouch to the center.

Provenance: A private Massachusetts collection.

Framed dimensions are 33 x 38 x 1 1/2 in. Framed inscribed "Prendergast" faintly on the reverse.

Besides the title, the stretcher is inscribed with a note from a former owner, S.G. Lorris (?), stating that he purchased the painting in 1961 for his children.

The retouch mentioned above consists of a u-shaped line about the size of the top of your thumb located in the pond lower center left.
