Carved jade creates the bodice of the winged female figure. Collar is open in the back and sits on the clavicle rather than neck; marked PLATINUM, 18K. Pendant bale is hinged and completed by a safety. Rubies measure 1.50 - 2.00 mm.

This collar was an ongoing passion project of the late John Randall "Randy" Lowrey of Memphis, Tennessee, a lifelong jewelry artist, and teacher. Lowrey earned his bachelor of fine arts from East Tennessee State University and took classes at the renowned Penland School of Craft. In Addition to doing jewelry design, fabrication repair, and casting throughout his career, Lowrey created custom pieces for a wide array of clients. A close friend of Mike McGregor, Elvis' personal jeweler, Lowrey created a large TCB ring for Elvis and a showy belt buckle for one of Elvis' stage costumes in the 1970s.
