John Russel Chancellor (1925-1984) - Bateaux dans la tempête
Hello, I offer you this magnificent work by John Russell Chancellor, artist born in 1925 and died in 1984.
It is a very beautiful oil on canvas representing a navy, boats, sailboats on the edge of a coast in the middle of a storm.
There is a very good representation of the storm, the clouds, the characters, it is magnificent.
I draw your attention to this painting, or rather to this artist, because it is very rare to find them on the market, there are none on sale from dealers, most of the time, we find them in auction, and the prices soar, it goes from 5000 euros for the small and less pretty models, up to 53000 euros for the big and pretty ones like this one, and a lot drops in the 25/40000 euros.
You can see the results on Artprice.

The signature is at the bottom right.
The dimensions are
Framing: Height 82. 5, Width 114. 5 cm
Chassis: Height 60 cm, Width 92. 5 cm
I note a small lack on the frame at the bottom left and at the top in the middle, otherwise the rest is in very good condition.
I have put up a sale with collection on site, but if you want delivery, ask me for a quote specifying your location (department and country.
