John Steinbeck Correspondence

A letter from Angelica Arenal de Siqueiros, the wife of Mexican muralist David Alfaro Siqueiros (Mexico 1896-1974). Her husband has been jailed and she is asking Steinbeck to write the president of Mexico for a second time on her husbands behalf. Dated December 8th 1960. Letter from Jimmy Costello, Editor of the Monterey Herald, regarding the renovation of Cannery Row by the town of Monterey. Including tearing down Ed Ricketts lab. Undated Letter from Norman Berg forwarding a letter by Author Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings. In it Rawlings is thankful her novel The Yearling did not come out the same year as The Grapes of Wrath.
