Flender, John W. (American/Pennsylvania, 1869-1942), Autumn Landscape - possibly Schenley Park, undated, c.1910s, oil on old linen canvas, signed lower left, 18.25 x 24 inches, in a modern wood frame 24 x 30 inches. A student of George Hetzel, John Flender studied at the Pittsburgh Art School, the Stevenson School, and the National Academy of Design. He was a charter member of the Associated Artists of Pittsburgh.
