Condition report:
The canvas has been lined. There is a light craquelure to the surface consistent with the age of the canvas, and some peripheral rubbing to the extreme edges in places. Under UV light, there is a thick varnish which largely obsucres any reading of possible retouching or conservation. It is probable that there may have been some at some time, however there is no obvious restoration apparent - for example evidence of a tear that has been repaired.
