'Hyperphantasia' is a work by North East artist Jonathan Antony Barber. 'The inspiration for my work derives from my design and build background, encompassing sculpture, architecture and product design. Concrete, metal, glass and ink are the 'go to' materials which underpin the majority of my work. Regardless of scale or form my fascination with how these materials interact remains a constant'. The piece is screen printed in metallic copper directly onto the finest pure low-iron flow glass (1210 x 1000) , with a substantial steel frame and is set off the wall by approximately 60mm. The piece is part of the 'Who is Alexa' series. The metallic ink can be striking as well as appearing to project a 3D profile. 'Hyperphantasia is limited to 10 pieces, together with 2 APs of which this is No1. The work is 35kg, easily installed by 2 persons.
