Watercolor on Paper
Measure 17"in H x 13 1/2"in W and 23 1/2"in H x 20"in W framed
Autobiography: Since I was 4 years old, I have always loved expressing my ideas and feelings through drawing or painting. However, when I was young, I thought I should keep this natural gift as a hobby, so I studied Biology at the University of Havana (I loved the sea and marine biology as well) and graduated with a degree in Biological Sciences in 1985. In the 1990s, harsh circumstances pushed my imagination, and original ideas sprang from my mind, unexplained, in an unexpected way. My creations as an amateur artist matured quickly, and my style emerged unintentionally. At that time, I began trying to sell my drawings at folk art fairs with some success. In 1996, I enrolled at the San Alejandro Academy of Art and graduated in 2000 as a painter. After 21 years living in my country as a professional artist, I now came to China with my wife to work in another professional field, but I still paint in my spare time. I've been looking for a good online gallery in China where I can exhibit and sell my work, and I think Artfinder meets those expectations.
Provenance: Private collection of a Miami family with over 30 years of collecting. First time offered at auction.
