hand-cut ceramic tiles, on artist's metal shelf
49.5 x 50 x 8 cm (19 1/2 x 19 5/8 x 3 1/8 in.)
Executed in 2013, in Mexico.

Condition Report:
This work is in good condition. This work is structurally sound and is comprised of an artist's metal shelf and four ceramic tiles.

Shelf: There are 4 artist's drill holes, occasional surface rubs, linear surface scratches and occasional surface abrasions, all deemed inherent to the artist's materials used and studio technique. There is rubbing to the corners and edges, occasional minor points of oxidation, predominantly to the front facing horizontal shelf element, all only visible on close inspection. There are occasional brown surface stains and brown accretions to the back part of the shelf, all deemed in line with the artist's materials used and studio technique, visible on inspection and not visible when the work is installed.

Tiles: There are very minor accretions and occasional minor surface scuffs and hairline scratches in places to the tiles, most noticeably to the largest dark blue tile to the lower left quadrant, all only visible on very close inspection. All other surface inconsistencies are deemed inherent to the artist's materials used and studio technique.

This work has been examined under ultraviolet light and there is no evidence of restoration. Otherwise, there are no apparent condition issues with this work.
