José NICOLAS (born in 1956)
Summer Flowers
Digital print
Signed
Framed
Image dimensions: 20 x 20 cm
Dimensions including mat: 30 x 30 cm
Note: With *Summer Flowers*, José Nicolas moves almost entirely away from panoramic landscapes to focus on a fragment of coastal vegetation. The tight framing transforms the succulents, small pale flowers, and dry grasses into a dense tapestry of shapes and colors, dominated by greens, pinks, and purples. The photograph thus reflects less a descriptive view than a sensitive attention to the essence of life, the texture, and the vibrant colors of the Mediterranean soil.
