This work will be included in the Catalogue Raisonné of Paintings by Josef Albers currently being prepared by the Josef and Anni Albers Foundation, and is registered as JAAF 1963.1.25.

Condition Report:
This work is in very good condition overall. The colors are bright, fresh and clean. There is evidence of light wear to the edges, including frame abrasions with resulting minute losses at the extreme edges of the Masonite. The aforementioned areas are not visible when framed. Under Ultraviolet light inspection, the following minute and pinpoint areas fluoresce darkly and appear to have benefitted from retouching: scattered pinpoint areas in the white perimeter; 3 minor areas in the teal passage including one pinpoint near the upper left corner, four pinpoints clustered in the upper right corner and one in the lower left edge: thirdly in the dark gray a cluster of three minute spots near the upper left corner of the central square. Framed.

Framed dimensions: 31 ⅜ by 31 ⅜ in. (79.7 by 79.7 cm.)
