Josef Elsner 1 Weight Vienna Regulator

A Good 19th century Vienna Regulator wall clock attributed to Josef Elsner. 8-day weight driven time only movement hangs from an Iron hook on the backboard of the case and has two pointed Iron stabilizer pins on the back plate, Huygens type winding with silk thread suspension and flat Alabaster dial, Blue Roman numerals and a fine Gilded outline around the unusual scalloped Bronze piecrust bezel with a steel pendulum rod. Biedermeier Rosewood case with inlaid stringing and a scrolled wooden crest, applied composition decoration to the crown, door and entire lower drop. The backboard has two pointed Iron stabilizer pins instead of the traditional screw in stabilizers at the lower edge.
