Joseph Burgaritsky, Austrian, 1836-1890. Oil on canvas depicting a landscape, with a gentle stream bisecting the foreground, and a church off in the distance. Signed "J. Burgaritsky" at the lower left, stamped "Anton Maurer Wien I. Klostergasse No. 4 Verdienst-Medaille" verso. Needs cleaning, some craquelure and losses around the edges (from the frame rubbing). 27 1/4" x 22" h, in a gilt wood and gesso frame with some losses, 36 1/2" x 31 1/4" high overall.
