Here is an excellent provenance for this allegorical scene dating from 1873-1874. Our painting was sold at Christies in New York in October 2000 among a collection of 8 works by Joseph Félon. Adjudication of the lot with fees 70,429 euros (source Artprice) This oil on panel is in excellent condition. Painting size: 90 x 20 cm and with a splendid walnut frame 99 x 29 cm. Joseph Félon, born in Bordeaux (France) on August 22, 1818 was a French painter, glass painter, lithographer, sculptor and ceramicist.
