Joseph Jost (1888-1969) - Still life with flowers in a porcelain vase
Beautiful flower still life in a porcelain vase was executed in the early 20th century by famous Austrian portrait and still life painter Joseph Jost , born 1888 in Vienna. The artist studied under the tutelage of Franz Rumplers at the Vienna Academy and already in 1908 exhibited his works at the Vienna Artists Unit. In the following years Jost frequetly exhibited his paintings there. To continue his education he travelled to Italy and Albania. In 1920 Jost became a member of Vienna Artists Unit.

Inscription: on the reverse of stretcher- old label with the artist´s inscription.
Technique: oil on canvas. Original gold-plated frame.
