Date code MRK for 1881
Modeled as a wooden box bound by pink ropes forming a loop handle, the integral stand with coral and shells scattered among waves, impressed uppercase mark, M and T, registry diamond (20-I-A-5) for 20 December 1872, parcel 5, black pattern no. M2832/I. Height 2 1/2 inches, width 8 1/4 inches.
