[ translate ]

\Artist: Jovan Srijemac (1962)
Technique: Mixed media\Signature: Hand signed
Unique work, from a series of paintings in Street / Pop art style, by Dutch professional / contemporary artist Jovan Srijemac (1962) . Work is painted with acrylic paint, palette knife, acrylic spray and acrylic marker. . . Painting is hand signed, with certificate of authenticity, is varnished and ready to hang. The sides are painted as part of the painting and do not require framing. This work fits well in a modern interior or office space. "The chaos of ideas that have arisen in my head, the inner devoid of energy, wants to come out like a volcano and thus become an explosion and a symphony of colors on the canvas, framed with matter, figures, faces or abstract composition" . My work is close to the expressionist style, but I like to experiment with pop art and action painting. My work from the 1980s was surreal. I wanted to send a message to the viewers. The main theme was about life in the world, against the war. In the 90's my work was gloomy, dark in color, just like my feelings. I escaped from my country (former Yugoslavia) in the early 1990s when war broke out. In the 00s I was looking for color. finally succeeded so far. My work is now colorful, abstract expressionist. Most of the work is painted with a pallet knife. Color has been applied to the canvas with a feeling and emotion that comes from deep within my soul. Theme is less important if I'm happy with the composition and color. Experimenting in art, with styles, techniques, colors, etc, is very important to me. I think: "If you stick to one style all your life as an artist, then you're dead as an artist. " In art and in life there is one goal for me: to continue! And I often say: "We don't know what's hidden behind the closed door until we open it" Quote from my book : ''Apocalypse of the soul''
