Robert Turner of Warlimpirri Art has worked closely with many celebrated indigenous artists from Far North Queensland and the Western and Central deserts of the Northern Territory since the 1990's. Originally operating a gallery in Cairns, Robert relocated to Alice Springs in 2005 where for over 20 years he opened his premises to indigenous artists, many of whom resided and worked in his studios. Robert has formed exceptionally strong personal bonds with indigenous groups of the Western and Central Deserts and is one of the few non-indigenous people to have been honoured with both skin and bush names.
