Jules Auguste Huguenin (Bergenat) was born on March 21, 1850 in Le Locle. He was the son of Auguste Huguenin and Julie Nussbaum.

The extraordinary double-walled case is made of 18kt yellow gold (0. 750) and is spectacularly engraved on both sides. Very nice condition.
Case number 42897 in the back cover and dust cover as well as in the front cover.
Front cover with fantasy engraving - monogram coat of arms in decorative frame, guilloche and cover finish with decorative frame with flowers and leaves - spring lid inside with gold hallmark State Stamp of Neuchatel for carat 18 gold - all in capital letters.
The two-part dial is made of white enamel and is in very good condition. Very beautiful fine Roman numerals in black and fine filigree steel hands with gold-colored decoration. Recessed small second at 6 o'clock. Marked JULES HUGUENIN.
Hand setting with key - which is also the winding key. Key available,
Golden finely completely engraved back cover, same as front cover, but without monogram field but with decorative engraving of a bouquet of flowers - inside hallmark 18K
Gold dust cover. Front guilloché decorative frame with No. 42897 Jules Huguenin LOCLE Compensat. Balance Straight Ligne Lever 15 Ruby.
Silver-coloured manufacture movement with cylinder escapement, ruby cylinder and large balance wheel, chatons and decorative cut.
