ARTIST BIOGRAPHY
Julio García Gutiérrez (1882-1966) . Born in Paris and at a very young age he moved to Barcelona, where he exhibited regularly since 1918. He was director of the Barcelona School of Fine Arts (1940-42) and of the School of Artistic Arts and Crafts (1940-46) . He cultivated a type of fiery and solitary marine that, despite his conventionalism, made him quite popularly known.
