Description
Jürgen Ovens belonged to the Rembrandt circle. The Ashmolean Museum, University of Oxford, has a smaller version of the same motif, partly executed in watercolours (inv. no. WA1936.162). In a collector’s mount. – Two creases in the upper left margin, individual inconspicuous folds along the left edge and in the lower left corner. Verso slightly stained. In good condition.
