K. B. Hancock, British, early 20th Century- Waiting for Relief, 1993; oil on canvas, signed lower right 'K. B. Hancock', titled and dated 1993 to the reverse, 31 x 41 cm (ARR) Note: The painting depicts Private Reginald Le Brun, No 790913, of the 16th Canadian Machine Gun Company with his machine gun team in the reserve line at Passchendaele in 1917. When they were moved up to the front line he was the only one of his team to survive the battle.
Held in a modern wooden frame. The work is in very good condition with no visible defects.
