K. Gulp Abstract Expressionist Oil on Canvas

An abstract expressionist work in oil on stretched canvas. The composition features vertical, gestural forms executed in a heavy impasto technique with a palette knife, creating a dense, tactile surface. The palette consists of earth tones including deep umber, olive, lime green, ochre, and accents of bright orange. The work reflects the Mid-Century Modern aesthetic, focusing on non-representational forms and textural exploration. The painting is unframed, with the canvas edges visible. The verso of the canvas bears a large, handwritten pencil inscription reading K. GULP. 28x22
