Description

Hammered copper tray with stylized pattern. Frame and handles of sculpted and hammered iron in organic form and rivets of copper.

Length 57 cm. Width 36 cm.

The tile is probably made by the blacksmith Karl Magnusson also called “Karl i Haschelråga”. Magnusson was active in the construction of the City Hall in Stockholm and has executed the eagles flanking the roof of Cyrillus Johansson's museum building - Värmlands Museum in Karlstad.

Provenance: Architect Ludvig Mattsson (1888-1960) Arvika, then inherited to the current owner.Show more
