HARING, KEITH (Reading / USA 1958-1990 New York City), felt-tip pen drawing on light ivory-colored paper: untitled (UFOs and a beaming baby), signed "K. Haring" and dated "83" (1983) on the right side. Characteristic figurative drawing by Haring. Sheet size 23.8 x 21 cm. The drawing comes from the private collection of modern and contemporary drawings of Urbano Quinto (Rhodes, Greece 1933-1997 Novara, Italy) from Novara/Italy and was acquired directly from the artist during a personal meeting of the collector with Haring during an exhibition of the artist (October 19 to November 12, 1983) at the Robert Fraser Gallery in London. Urbano Quinto had previously met Haring at the Andy Warhol Factory in New York City; the collector had been friends with Warhol from 1977 until the artist's death in 1987. Provenance: Urbano Quinto Collection, Italy; acquired by the artist in 1983 during an exhibition and since then in private ownership. With: Certificate of the Urbano Quinto Heritage. Good condition (lower margin of the sheet with tear-off edge from a drawing pad; lower right corner slightly creased).

Die Zeichnung stammt aus der Privatsammlung Moderner und Zeitgenössischer Zeichnungen von Urbano Quinto (Rhodos, Griechenland 1933-1997 Novara, Italien) aus Novara/Italien und wurde während eines persönlichen Treffens des Sammlers mit Haring während einer Ausstellung des Künstlers (19. Oktober bis 12. November 1983) in der Robert Fraser Gallery in London direkt vom Künstler erworben. Urbano Quinto hatte Haring schon zuvor in der Andy Warhol Factory in New York City kennengelernt; mit Warhol verband den Sammler seit 1977 bis zu dem Tod des Künstlers 1987 eine Freundschaft. Provenienz: Sammlung Urbano Quinto, Italien; erworben vom Künstler 1983 während einer Ausstellung und seither in Privatbesitz. Dabei: Bescheinigung des Urbano Quinto Heritage. Guter Zustand (unterer Rand des Blattes mit Abrisskante aus einem Block; untere rechte Ecke leicht geknickt).
