KELDA STORM, PINK LADY
artist's proof 3 colour screenprint on GF Smith Colourplan 350gsm paper, signed
44.5cm x 32cm
With a post-digital sentiment, subtle and infused with humour, Kelda Storm's artwork is vibrant and playful, with underlying themes that form the foundation of her practice. Created from her colour-saturated world; every image, every artwork carries meaning, or narrative elements. She presents a duality that sits between the joyous and serious. Along with her brash colour palette, the artwork she produces is deliberately minimal; almost stripped to just what you need to see… Throughout the analogue screen-printing process Kelda works freely with her silk screens to experiment with colour, composition and layer order. This method of working allows for spontaneity and surprise in her finished pieces. The number of screen-prints she produces is always limited as she prefers to use print as a fine art medium rather than to mass produce. Working from her London studio, Kelda exhibits her art regularly; highlights include showing at the Saatchi Gallery, Chelsea College of Arts, and as a regular feature at Don’t Walk Walk Gallery.
