KILIM RUG FROM KONYA (TURKEY)

[ translate ]

This authentic vintage Kilim rug, originating from the Konya region in Central Anatolia (Turkey), measures 242 x 164 cm (area of 3.97 m²) and is in strictly new, impeccable, and unused condition. Its provenance and legitimacy are fully attested on the reverse by its official lead customs seal and the original Turkish export label (Ref. RW 39), which bears its original retail price (PVP) of 750 Euros. The piece is entirely hand-woven on a traditional loom with 100% pure wool (weft and warp) using the classic slit-weave flat weaving technique, which gives it a firm and perfectly reversible structure. Its tribal design displays axial geometric medallions in a sophisticated pastel palette, dominated by a salmon and peach background with accents in mint green, terracotta, and dark blue, finished with raw wool fringes with the original knots intact. Thanks to its excellent storage, the pigments remain fully vibrant and without any signs of wear, making this lot an unusual opportunity for collectors and interior design projects looking for a legitimate and immaculate oriental textile work.
