Rare Korean War multi piece construction silk flag. Veteran bring back. This flag was constructed from 7 separate pieces of material. The red field had a circular section cut out to accommodate the white disc which was stitched to that section. In turn, the white disc had a star shape cut out to accommodate the separately stitched red star. The blue stripes are seperate pieces of material stitched to the thin white stripes which are in turn stitched to the red field. The flag measures approximately 47" x 23". The corner ties are still present on one corner of the hoist. This flag - especially its fly end, shows wear commensurate with heavy use. A rare battlefield bring back.
