KPM Porcelain Portrait Plaque Christopher Columbus in chains, late 19th century, in a later frame. Oval plaque depicts Christopher Columbus in chains after the 1846 painting by Gustave Wappers (Belgian, 1803-1874). Back of plaque with impressed KPM marks. Mounted in a gilt wood oval frame with a grey ground. Unable to be removed from frame to inspect for artist signature.
