GERMAN KPM MEISSEN LARGE PORCELAIN PLAQUE, COLUMBUS VISITED BY MONKS, 19TH.C., SIGNED H 13.5", W 15." Gilt frame, 20" x 21.5". Impressed KPM reverse corner. Hand-painted German KPM plaque depicting the imprisoned Columbus being visited by monks. Partially illegible signature of the decorator (painter) on the recto lower right, "A. Fahn__" - see photo detail. Provenance: property of a Grosse Pointe, MI private collection and Bloomfield Hills.
