A late 20th century glass Kazaribako (ornamental box), the thickly walled glass body showing a mottled lavender interior, fitted with a conforming domed lid, the exterior decorated overall with hand applied gold & silver metal leaf and red & white enamels, the underside bearing the artist's etched signature. Dimensions, 5.75" high x 5" square. Original bill of sale included from the Glass Art Gallery, Toronto, dated 1983. The artist's work was included in an exhibition held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York City, titled 'One of a Kind - The Studio Craft Movement'.
