Hanging scroll (kakejiku) with a polychrome painting in subtle colors, depicting a Japanese apricot tree in bloom (ume) , a tree peony shrub (botan) with large pink flowers, bamboo stalks and a bird. Some horizontal wrinkles and loose part of the mounting on the right top side of the painting. Mounted on a nice blue brocade with repeating abstract woven motives in gold thread.
