A lovely large collection antique Japanese porcelain cups with a central decoration of Scholars overlooking a pond besides banana trees and prunus, executed in a nice underglaze blue and white. In the border a classical decoration of clouds and rock patterns. Handcrafted in ancient Japan during the Edo period (1600-1868) . On the bottom an unglazed foot rim, showing age and material. Guaranteed original and of the stated period. Magnificent colors! Together with a set of six saucers (all mint condition) and four eggshell saucers (two with small hairlines) . 19th century. \r
