A 7-page book on lacquered palm sheets gilded with gold leaf, handwritten in Pali + two lacquered teak wood covers gilded with gold leaf. These books were donated by wealthy Buddhist families to monasteries when one of their sons who took orders and never left the monastery. They are the transcription of Buddhist monastic texts. The 7 sheets are in good condition but the gilding of the wooden covers is partly erased due age related wear. Length: 56 cm. Shipping: UPS.
