(The woodcuts contained in the album were made in 1907, the two vignettes on the cover after Röthel probably printed from stock. - The publication ""Tendances Nouvelles"" in Paris in 1909 contained the 6 heliogravures after woodcuts from 1907, 5 of them printed in the same size on thin paper with a black frame and 1 on the title. - The loose sheets with the title page with cover with 2 orig. woodcuts. - The titles of the leaves in the publication are: Les Bouleaux, L' Eglise, Les Chevaliers, Les Femmes au Bois, Les Oiseaux. - The publication had appeared as no. 1 of a planned series of woodcuts, which, however, did not thrive beyond the Kandinsky publication. - The prints clean, the backing boards less often minimally rubbed at margins resp. with minimal traces of pressure. Holzschnitten. - Die Titel der Blätter in der Publikation lauten: Les Bouleaux, L'Eglise, Les Chevaliers, Les Femmes au Bois, Les Oiseaux. - Die Publikation war als Nr. 1 einer geplanten Holzschnittreihe erschienen, die jedoch nicht über die Kandinsky-Veröffentlichung hinaus gedieh. - Die Tafeln sauber, die Trägerkarton seltener am Rand minimal berieben bzw. mit minimalen Druckspuren. - Gutes Exemplar.
