Kansai Yamamoto Embroidered Crop Jacket
This vintage Kansai Yamamoto cropped embroidered jacket has a front zip, and exaggerated quilted shoulders, accented with black bows. It has a colorful bird embroidered across the back, and on the right side of the jacket. It also has a slash breast pocket on the side. Kansai Yamamoto, who died last year at the age of 76, was most active in the 1970s and 1980s, and he is best known for his work with singer David Bowie. Kansai's iconic "Ziggy Stardust" costumes are now preserved in a traveling museum collection, and his elaborate and avant-garde creations are both rare and coveted. It measures from 9" neck to shoulder, Waist is 35", neck is 31", and the sleeve length is 19.5".
