The four-and-one medallion design of this large Karachov Kazak with a blazing red field is not only perfectly drawn down to the smallest detail, but also harmoniously balanced. It is surrounded on all sides by small double hooks aligned in a row. The cobalt blue main border featuring star-shaped blossoms and diagonal leaves is flanked by two brown-and-white secondary borders of reciprocal trefoils. A masterpiece of Caucasian weaving. – Corroded brown, good condition, original side and end finishes.
