A Mossi, Karangan Wemba mask, Burkina Faso, collected in the region Ouahigouya, Yatenga style with the moulded face at the bottom with carvings along the edge, the centre if the face divided by a carved ridge that extends into horns joined at the top making up the second level of the totem, on top of the horns, making up the next level of the totem ia a standing woman with ornamental likes drawn around her waist, and lines and dots decorate her torso arms and flattened face with protruding features. For Jewellery, and anklet on her left ankle, a ring on top of her head and earrings made up of ropes. Behind her a flat carved surface extends from the mask and ends at her buttocks where she is leaning against it. Signs of Use. Certificate of origin and Provenance.
