Info: Karel Marinus Hendrikus Colnot (Bergen,, Noord-Holland, 2 September 1921 - there, 31 March 1996) , was a Dutch painter, draughtsman, etcher, lithographer, engraver, sculptor, watercolourist and wall painter. He was a son of the painter Arnout Colnot, who taught him for a while. Except for a number of foreign journeys, he worked mainly in Bergen, NH. His early work belongs to the Bergense School. Around 1960, Karel Colnot moved away from the style of the Bergen School. He went on to work more in the style of the French painter Cézanne. Origin: collection art dealer Martins anno 2018.
