Kashgai Khorgeeen South West Iran, circa 1900 Each face with a deep indigo field centred by an ivory and madder stepped medallion framed by narrow ivory borders of angular meandering vines flanked by Z motifs and barber pole guard stripes, 104cm by 55cm
Condition Report:
. The piled section of one face in excellent condition. Selvedges with signs of light wear. Faltwoven upper ends with typical signs of use including fraying and some wear. The piled section of the other face geneally good but several lines of rucking. Selvedges good, some wear to flatwoven fastening areas consistent with use. Flatweave back complete.
