Condition Report:
The work has been examined framed. Canvas is not lined. There is some minor paint shrinkage throughout the sky and a few thin lines of craquelure to the most thickly applied yellow pigments. There is a small area of minor rubbing towards the center of the sky and a small paint loss (approx. 0.8 cm long) to the right part of the upper edge as well as a few tiny additional paint losses to the yellow impasto and to the hat of the figure. There is a milky and uneven varnish mostly visible to the lower corners. Examination under UV light reveals three tiny dots of retouching in the sky and two tiny additional ones towards the center of the right edge. This work is in overall good condition.
