Artist Statement
Expressionist painting via stream of consciousness application has always provided the most productive and exciting creative process for me. Early on I fell in love with the figure and it’s infinite creative possibilities. Combining these two elements is the theme throughout my artwork. I use a trio of figures or "Graces" as a format to guide the viewer, as with a telescope, into the "_expression" of paint and the action of painting. Furthermore, I continue to combine both the existential visuals of expressionist painting with my love of the figure, in an effort to present the internal energy of the human form in constant evolution.
