Kennedy Family Receipts from JFK's Days as President & MA Senator, 10 pcs, Including Golfing Lessons!

A small group of receipts, 10 pieces, belonging to the Kennedy Family. The invoices date from December 1959 to July 1962, thus reflecting the transition of John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) from a junior Senator from Massachusetts to 35th President of the United States. Expected wear including isolated toning and staple marks. Else very good to near fine.

The bills represent daily expenses such as groceries, including what appears to be a standing order of Fluffy Milk Bath Powder! Also including documentation relating to the presidential family's special bank account, which enabled them to be reimbursed for household, travel, and medical expenses.

The invoices also include many luxury items. Included are receipts from Marshall Field & Company for a necklace and pair of earrings for $66.60 (the equivalent of nearly $600 in 2020 currency)

and receipts from Julius Garfinckel, a premier Washington, D.C. department store, for 12 pairs of panty hose charged to "The Honorable & Mrs. John F. Kennedy / The White House / 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW / Washington 25 D.C." There are also two bills related to Jackie's golfing lessons and caddy fees from Hyannis Port, Massachusetts during the summer of 1962. One invoice bears the name of Tom Niblet (1929-2016), the professional golfer who occasionally taught Jackie and Rose Kennedy, and who played golf with JFK himself.

This item comes with a Certificate from John Reznikoff, a premier authenticator for both major 3rd party authentication services, PSA and JSA (James Spence Authentications), as well as numerous auction houses.
