It is designed from multicolored patchwork textile panels in shades of purple, and blue with gold metallic woven accents. The dress has a flared skirt, an open V-back, and two self-tie ribbons at the back. The interior is lined and features a Kenzo Défilé label sewn in.

Antonio Marras' Fall 2009 collection drew inspiration from the romance and history of Russia, blending military influences with folkloric embroidery, rich florals, layered textures, and dramatic silhouettes. The collection balanced structure with softness, showcasing Marras' talent for storytelling through fashion. Fashion critique, Tim Blanks described it as "a collection of distinct contrasts," writing that "for every folkloric flounce there was a Bolshevik reference," while highlighting inspirations from "lonely dachas" filled with "embroideries, tapestries, and carpets," which gave the collection its richly textured, romantic character.
