Keshan - Rug - 160 cm - 110 cm

For sale is this approximately 70 old Kashan pure silk carpet. It has the measurements of 160x110cm and about 500. 000 knots per square meter. Kashan silk carpets are extremely hard to find and aren't produced anymore. Carpets from the Persian city of Kashan are usually made out of wool. Therefore this carpet is an absolute rarity and something very special for collectors. All the colors of the carpet are natural colors, which means it was dyed with natural products, such as pomegranate to create the red coloring. This can also only be found in antique carpets. Because of having laid on the floor for many years the rug is already worn/thin in one small place (picture number 7) . However this hasn't had an effect on the the rugs pattern, which is still clear and strong.
