Shibori-Dashi 絞り出し: This is a bowl-like container with a lid but without a tea strainer. We put the tea leaves inside, then pour hot water before pouring into a cup by moving the lid slightly. This is also called a lidded bowl.

Technique: Kiku Kiri Makie 菊桐蒔絵
A type of maki-e lacquerware pattern widely practiced during the Momoyama period (1568 - 1600)
